About this place
Piped to order over a crisp meringue base, the Waguri Mont Blanc is the signature creation that draws many visitors to La Précieuse. The light crunch of the meringue, the unsweetened fresh cream, and the rich, natural aroma of Japanese chestnuts unfurl effortlessly with every bite. From the floor-to-ceiling glass wall on the east side of the salon, guests can look out over the lush greenery surrounding the Akasaka Prince Classic House, with terrace seating providing an open-air spot to enjoy made-to-order desserts.
The showcase of traditional French pastries is equally engaging to explore. Offerings include strawberry shortcake pairing soft sponge with light cream, as well as Chocolat Framboise, which offsets an airy chocolate mousse with tart raspberry. Richer mousse creations are also available, such as the Forêt-Noire Pistache combining cherry with fragrant pistachio mousse, and the Coccinelle featuring caramel-glazed nuts for textural contrast, both fitting companions to a cup of Darjeeling or coffee.
For a leisurely afternoon pause, the tiered tea stand sets are a substantial choice. Flaky croissant sandwiches filled with egg and other savouries are presented alongside cakes, macarons, and canelés, creating a satisfying balance from meal to dessert. In the morning, the salon offers French toast and fresh bread sets, while daytime light fare includes vegetable quiche or bacon and spinach quiche, making it a handy stop throughout the day beyond standard cafe hours.
